Hazelnut liqueur recepie

Hazelnut liqueur, also known as Frangelico, is a deliciously sweet and nutty liqueur that can be enjoyed as an after-dinner treat or added to coffee or cocktails for an extra kick of flavor. Making hazelnut liqueur at home is surprisingly easy and can save you money compared to buying pre-made options. In this article, we will provide you with a simple recipe to make your own hazelnut liqueur and also a guide to hazelnut liqueur in Cyprus.

Ingredients of  Hazelnut liqueur

- 1 cup hazelnuts

- 2 cups vodka

- 1 cup water

- 1 cup granulated sugar

- 1 vanilla bean (optional)

Instructions:

1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C). Spread the hazelnuts on a baking sheet and roast them for 10-15 minutes, until they are lightly browned and fragrant. Remove the hazelnuts from the oven and let them cool.

2. Once the hazelnuts have cooled, place them in a large glass jar with a tight-fitting lid. Add the vodka to the jar, making sure that the hazelnuts are completely covered. Seal the jar and let it sit for at least two weeks in a cool, dark place, shaking the jar gently every few days.

3. After two weeks, strain the hazelnut-infused vodka through a fine-mesh strainer or cheesecloth into a clean glass jar. Discard the hazelnuts.

4. In a saucepan, combine the water and sugar over medium heat. Stir the mixture until the sugar has dissolved, then remove the pan from the heat and let the syrup cool.

5. Once the syrup has cooled, add it to the hazelnut-infused vodka and stir well. If you are using a vanilla bean, split it lengthwise and add it to the jar as well.

6. Cover the jar and let the mixture sit for at least two more weeks in a cool, dark place, shaking the jar gently every few days.

7. After two weeks, remove the vanilla bean (if using) and strain the liqueur through a fine-mesh strainer or cheesecloth into a clean glass bottle. Enjoy your homemade hazelnut liqueur as a digestif or add it to your favorite cocktails or coffee drinks.

Making your own hazelnut liqueur can be a fun and rewarding experience, and the end result is a deliciously sweet and nutty liqueur that you can enjoy at home or share with friends and family. Give this recipe a try and impress your guests with your homemade hazelnut liqueur.
